SERVER/CARRYOUT/BARTENDER

Reports to: General Manager/Manager-On-Duty

Summary of Position:

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Provide timely and accurate service. Each server, carryout, and bartender’s primary objective is to show our guest such a marvelous time, they will want to return again.

Duties & Responsibility:

  • Welcome and greet guest. Make all our guest feel comfortable and let them know you’re there

    to personally take care of them.

  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.

  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy.

  • Answer questions about our food, beverage and other restaurant functions and services.

  • Take food and beverage orders from guest, enter orders I our POS system which relays orders to

    the kitchen and bar. Checking guest’s ID when ordering an alcoholic beverage (no carryout

    alcoholic beverage orders are allowed).

  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.

  • Anticipate guest needs etc.

  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.

  • Maintain clean service areas.

  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure gusts are satisfied with the food and

    service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charge or make

    change (if applicable).

  • drink preparation and promotion of beverages.

  • Bartenders- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Manager.

  • Bartenders- Assist the Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.

  • Be ready and willing to assist bus person/hostess with clearing and resetting tables.

  • Thank guest for their visit and invite them to return.

  • Bartenders- Prepare and serve alcoholic drinks consistent with the Kuzzo’s standard drink

    recipes.

  • Bartenders- Wash and sterilize glassware.

  • Bartenders- Prepare garnishes for drinks.

  • Bartenders- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support

    efficient restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Maintain a professional appearance with a positive attitude and is adaptable and

    flexible.

  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

  • Is patient, helpful and is interested in the welfare of the guest and staff.

  • Has great attention to detail and works will under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Follows staff conduct policies and time management guidelines.

  • Is organized and able to prioritize workload.

  • Able to multi-task for the benefit of quality services.

  • Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Takes pride in a job well done.

Qualifications:

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures functions.

  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a POS system.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

  • Be able to safely lift and easily move with plates of food, beverages with or without the use of

    trays.

  • Bartenders- be at least 21 years of age.
