DISHWASHER/UTILITY

Reports to: General Manager/Kitchen Manager/Manager-On-Duty

Summary of Position:

Dishwasher-Wash and clean table ware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep dish room and equipment clean and organized. Utility- Serves a variety of essential back of the house roles which include working as a dishwasher, deep cleaning, unloading inventory and along with other miscellaneous duties. Utility workers are also required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.

Duties & Responsibility:

  • Load, run and unload dish machine.

  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.

  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.

  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.

  • Keep dish room organized.

  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.

  • Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster and break down and dispose of boxes.

  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.

  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.

  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant

    as directed by manager.

  • General cleaning duties.

  • Other restaurant tasks as required by management or leadership.

  • Ensure a clean, sale and pleasant atmosphere is maintained in the kitchen at all times.

  • Utility- Maintain food safety guidelines when transporting food.

  • Utility- Unload Inventory and place items in correct areas.

  • Utility- Assist management with other work related tasks as needed.

  • Utility- Gain extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for all equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.

  • Be physically able to life, reach, bend and stoop.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

  • Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds multiple times a shift.

  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Other restaurant tasks as required by management or leadership.
